Sponsored by PGI. Led by Kevin Strunk and Sam Frushour. Free for +/-20 attendees.
Walking karst surface tour of the Buckner Cave Preserve property located west of Bloomington. Classic karst area including the Garrison Chapel Karst Valley and the Crawford Upland, outcrops of the Ste. Genvieve and associated limestones and overlying clastics. Rain or shine. Planning to be back at the hotel by 3:30 to allow time to get ready for the 4:30 reception. We will be walking on an irregular surface and a waiver is required. Slight elevation gains.
Meet before Noon on Sunday October 27 at the Hotel. Dress for a hike including proper footwear. We will not be entering any caves. No lunch provided so plan ahead.
